Edtech.Careers is operated by Urple, LLC (“Urple,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect personal information when you use Edtech.Careers.
Information we collect
We collect information you provide or that is created when you use the service, including:
- Account information: email address, authentication identifiers, and basic profile details supplied through email or LinkedIn sign-in.
- Profile information: your name, headline, location, pronouns, skills, work history, education, and any profile photo you choose to provide.
- Career materials: résumé files, extracted résumé text, job preferences, saved jobs, application-tracking information, notes, and résumé drafts you create.
- Payment information: subscription or purchase status and Stripe customer and transaction references. Payment card data is handled by Stripe, not stored by Urple.
- Technical information: information needed to operate and secure the service, such as session data, device/browser information, IP-address-related logs, and service-request records.
How we use information
We use personal information to operate and improve Edtech.Careers; authenticate accounts; provide job search, profile, saved-role, application-tracking, payment, and résumé features; respond to support requests; prevent fraud and abuse; comply with law; and communicate about your account or the service.
When you ask us to generate or tailor a résumé, we process the relevant profile, résumé, and job information to provide that feature. Review generated content before relying on it.
When we share information
We share information only as needed to run the service, meet legal obligations, or with your direction. This can include:
- Supabase for authentication, database, and file storage services;
- Stripe for payment processing;
- LinkedIn when you choose LinkedIn sign-in;
- OpenRouter and its underlying model providers when you use AI résumé features;
- Vercel and other infrastructure providers that host, secure, and support the service;
- employers or other users where a feature makes profile information available; and
- professional advisers, authorities, or transaction counterparties where reasonably necessary for law, safety, enforcement, or a business transfer.
We do not provide personal information to advertising networks for their own advertising purposes.
Public and external information
Only include information in your profile that you are comfortable making available through the service. Résumé files and raw résumé text are kept in private, account-scoped storage. Job listings may link to third-party websites; their privacy practices govern information you provide after leaving Edtech.Careers.
Retention and security
We retain information for as long as needed to provide the service, maintain records, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and meet legal obligations. We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards, but no online service can guarantee absolute security.
Your choices and rights
You can update information in your profile. To request access, correction, deletion, or a copy of your personal information, or to ask a question about your privacy rights, email hello@urple.co. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under applicable privacy law. We will respond as required by applicable law and may need to verify your request.
Children
Edtech.Careers is a career service and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes and contact
